KINGSTON, Jamaica — Rio Olympic Games triple jump champion, American Christian Taylor, says he is looking forward to participating in a ‘special’ Racers Grand Prix Meet at the National Stadium on Saturday.

The American, who arrived in the island Wednesday night, told OBSERVER ONLINE that he expects a fantastic atmosphere in a jam-packed stadium.

The 26-year-old will be hopping, stepping and jumping in Jamaica for the first time and can’t wait for the action to begin.

“I am very excited. I am looking forward to the atmosphere, I see the high schools, I see the trials that go on here, you see what Jamaica produces, but to actually be at the track is going to be special for me,” he stated.

Taylor is one of a number of Olympic champions from Rio who will be ‘honouring’ Usain Bolt at his final competitive performance in Jamaica.
